To supplement outdoor leisure space for the public, the Municipal Affairs Bureau has temporarily transformed an otherwise idle piece of land near Avenida Marginal do Lam Mau into a leisure area.
The leisure area features a children’s playground and a fitness zone.
The children’s playground includes six features: a climbing frame; a sandpit; an area with slides suitable for people of all abilities; knolls of artificial grass; swings; and an area for roller-skating.

Climbing structures allow movements in several dimensions; and the leisure area also has balance beams. In the sandpit there are replicas of dinosaur fossils. The facilities offer challenges to children in terms of coordination of their body and limb movements, and their spirit of adventure.
