Air cargo business between Macao and the United States will likely be enhanced after the Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Ao Man Long, completed his two-day visit to the United States on Thursday (28).
Mr. Ao, who led a delegation to the States, departed on 24th March. During this visit, the delegation met with the U.S. Secretary for Transportation, Norman Y. Mineta, in Washington. During their talks, the delegation promoted the advantages and the potential of the air cargo business in Macao.
Mr. Ao also met with the general vice-director of UPS, Joseph A. Farinacci, and discussed the feasibility of using Macao as a channel for entering the market of Mainland China.
While in the United States, Mr. Ao, Mr. Vitor Ng, President of the Macao Foundation, and Mr. Tong Chi Kin, Executive Council member, visited the famous architect I.M. Pei and discussed the design for the Scientific Center of Macao.
