To help recreate the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival in the Forbidden City, traditional wooden pavilions and corridors were built in the museum’s exhibition hall, decorated with palace lanterns.

The exhibition features valuable Spring Festival decorations, such as an imperial Doufang calligraphic work with the character ‘blessing’ (fu) by Emperor Qianlong, single-line scrolls (chuntiao) and door gods, presenting visitors in Macao with a taste of how the Spring Festival was celebrated in the imperial palace.
