The 1st Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries ended today (14 Oct).

Vice-Minister of Commerce, An Min delivered a speech at the closing ceremony, saying that Macao had showed significant irreplaceable importance in the economic and trading cooperation between China and the Portuguese-Speaking countries.

He noted that the business sectors of Portuguese-Speaking countries could rely on Macao as the platform to enter the Chinese market.

An Min stressed that the "Economic And Trade Cooperation Action Plan" that had signed at the ministerial meeting yesterday was an crucial achievement of the Forum.

In order to carry out the consensus reached in the Forum, An Min urged the participating countries to raise the trading volume, and investment scale, as well as to promote cooperation in various aspects.

He appealed to the participating countries to intensify cooperation and strengthen the mechanism of the Forum.

On the other hand, the ministers and representatives from the participating Portuguese-Speaking countries also addressed at the closing ceremony and attended the press conference afterwards.

Meanwhile, the Trade and Investment Promotion Institute organized several seminars to introduce the Portuguese-Speaking countries. Over 100 business meetings were also held for the participating entrepreneurs.
