Macao and Shenzhen to hold Regular Meetings on tourism development

Macao Government Tourism Office and Shenzhen Tourism Bureau agreed to hold regular meetings in the future to reinforce cooperation in tourism and to promote joint tours in the two cities.

Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Chui Sai On and a 24-member delegation today (20 Feb) completed the last leg of their Guangdong visit in Shenzhen, where they met with the Vice Mayor Wang Suiming.

During a work meeting, officials from Macao and Shenzhen tourism authorities updated each other the recent tourism development in the two cities, exchanged opinions and discussed relative issues.

Both sides had decided on regular meetings in the future and other mechanisms to effectively promote cooperation in information exhanges, promotions, product development and industry administration.

Macao tourism authority said that it is necessary to intensify cooperation, and to jointly develop and promote tourism of the South China region, especially the Pearl River Delta.

The delegation visited several tourist spots in Shenzen, concluding the visit to three cities in Guangdong Province.
