  • To mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, the Social Welfare Bureau recently held a street dance competition titled “D.D.T. (Don’t Drug Teens) 2.0” at the Healthy Life Education Centre.

  • The street dance competition was part of the Government’s ongoing effort to promote healthy lifestyles among the city’s young people.

  • ‘Healthy Harold’, the toy giraffe that for years has been the mascot of the Government’s anti-drug abuse programme, performs during the event’s opening ceremony.

  • More than 200 dancers took part in the exciting dance competition, to mark the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.

  • The competition also attracted dancers from the mainland and Hong Kong.

  • A total of five prizes were handed out, covering the following categories: “1 on 1 Breaking Battle”, “2 on 2 All Style”, and “Battle Kingz”.

  • Dancers showcase their skills through powerful dance moves.

  • The winner of the “1 on 1 Breaking Battle” category will represent Macao in the 2018 World Dance Games, to be held in September in Shanghai.

  • The “D.D.T. (Don’t Drug Teens) 2.0” street dance competition offers a platform for young people to showcase their dancing skills and aims to encourage participants to develop healthy and positive lifestyles.
