Organised by the Australia and New Zealand Representative of Macau Government Tourist Office, Macau Festival 2011 was held on October 15 and16 to bring excitement, colour and fascination of Macau to the city of Sydney. Coinciding with the festival is a Macau Food Week at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney from October 14 to 21.

Macau Festival 2011 featured on stage a program of contemporary and traditional Portuguese dance, Lion dancing, song and music throughout the two days. There was also a host of activities for children and adults, and plenty of Portuguese and Chinese food to satisfy hearty appetites.

The Macau Food Week at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney from October 14 to 21 is held at the hotel’s restaurant “Kable’s”, offering a special Macanese menu of traditional dishes such as the famous Portuguese Egg Tarts and African chicken for both lunch and dinner throughout the Macau Food Week. Adding to the authenticity of the experience, two guest chefs, Gary Wong and Alex Lim from Four Seasons Hotel Macau, join the event to prepare the Macanese dishes throughout the week.
