Seven Portuguese Speaking countries had decided to send delegation, headed by ministerial-level officials, to attend the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (Macao), according to a press release from the Organizing Office.

According to the press release, The China delegation would also be headed by ministerial-level official responsible for economic and trade affairs, and would include the Macao SAR delegation.

A general document on the economic and trade cooperation between the member countries would be signed during the forum, according to the press release.

The forum would begin on 12 October with the theme “Structuring the framework of economic and trade cooperation and promoting mutual development of China and Portuguese-speaking countries”

Ministerial meeting and other conferences would be held during the Forum, afterward, the delegations and some of the participating entrepreneurs would go to Guangzhou for the 94th China Export Fair.

Participating entrepreneurs may meet each other and find potential partners during the China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries Economic and Trade Cooperation Fair, which would be held on the afternoon of 12 and 13 October.

Member countries of the Forum included China and Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal and East Timor. Sao Tomei and Principe would participate as observer.

The Forum, organized by the Central Government and is undertaken by Macao SAR, was aimed at promoting boost trade and economic ties between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries and the role of Macao as a platform.
