Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Chui Sai On met with Zhou Yi, the Minister of Education in Paris on 29 Sept.

The two were in Paris for the 32nd session of the General Conference of UNESCO.

Secretary Chui reported to Minister Zhou on the preparation for the application for listing 'the historic monuments of Macao' as world heritages. Minister Zhou expressed his appreciation for the effort of Macao SAR Government and gave advice to Secretary Chui in return.

Secretary Chui remarked that the support from Central Government was essential for Macao’s application. Macao SAR Government would endeavour for the bidding and the preservation of cultural and historic relics, he said.
