Secretary for Transport and Public Works Ao Man Long today (12 Sept.) attended the 6th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo at the invitation of the Organizating Committee.

The opening ceremony was inaugurated by the several Senior Chinese Leaders included the member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Chinese Communist Party Central Committee Liu Qi.

Mr. Ao and the delegation were received by the Vice-Premier Huang Ju before the inauguration.

Mr. Ao congradulated successes on the host of the Expo when he delievered his speech during the opening ceremony. He said that China would provide a sounder environment for technological industrialization and high-tech co-operation in the global marketplace

The Sixth China Beijing International High-Technology Expo had attracted governmental agencies, professional organizations, enterprises and financial institutions from 27 countries and regions.

Mr. Ao headed a delegation with members from the Science and Techonolgy Committee and his office. They returned Macao on 13 September.
