At the invitation of the Organizating Committee, Secretary for Transport and Public Works Ao Man Long today (11 Sept.) left for Beijing to attend the 6th China Beijing International High-Tech Expo (CBHT).

The CBHT is jointly held by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Information Industry, the Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the State Intellectual Property Office and the People’s Government of Beijing Municipality.

The Expo will be officiated by the Premier Wen Jiabao.

High-ranking government officials from other countries, presidents of multinationals enterprises, high executives of international financial institutions from 26 countries will meet in Beijing during the event.

Mr. Ao will deliver a keynote speech during the Opening ceremony and will be received by State leaders in the afternoon.

The Secretary will return to Macao on 13 September.
