Chief Excutive Edmund Ho today (7 Sep) stressed that the legislation of gaming industry regulation was on schedule and the Govrnment was keen to crating a ground for fair competition.
Edmund Ho was asked for his respons to a local media report about one of the concessionairs’ comment on the progress of the gaming legislation.
He said that the SAR Government approached the legislation with the concerns on the characteristics of local society and the convergence with international market.
He continued that the SAR Government respected the opinions of the operators in a professional perspective and understand that individule operators might voice opinion that reflected their own concerns.
He stressed that the SAR Government would continue the legislation process according to the schedelu and would not make adjustment according to individual.
