Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Chui Sai On, said today (28 August) that Macao would continue to improve service quality in tourism.
Mr. Chui this afternoon arrived Macao after his five-day visit to Beijing and Urumqi. He told the press that he had met with the Chairman of the China National Tourism Administration Mr. He Guangwei, introducing the overall situation about Macao’s tourism industry and terminal management.
Meanwhile, Mr. Chui said that according to the statistic, the number of visitor arrivals in last year did not exceed Macao’s receiving capability. “The Government and local tourist sectors will exchange opinions on improving service quality next week, therethrough to prolong staying time and to increase expenditure of tourists visiting Macao,” said the Secretary.
Mr. Chui revealed that he had stayed in Shanghai for several hours and met with officials with tourist sectors, discussing the issue of Shanghai residents visiting Macao individually.
