Macau to strengthen relations with Belgium

Macau is more than a trade destination but also a gateway to China, said Belgian Deputy Secretary of State to Foreign Affairs Ministry Annemie NeytsUyttebroeck Today (22).

Chief Executive Edmund Ho, on the last day of his visit to the European Union and Belgium, met with Belgian Deputy Secretary of State to Foreign Affairs Ministry Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck.

During the Meeting, Edmund Ho talked about the implementation of "One Country Two Systems" in Macau. He also expressed the SAR government's will to strengthen the relations with Belgium.

Annemie Neyts-Uyttebroeck agreed to reinforce the relations between Macau and Belgium, adding that Macau is more than a trade destination to Belgian businessmen but also a gateway to China.

Belgium is to chair the European Union from this July.
