The former Iec Long Firecracker Factory site is open to the public after partial restoration. The improvements include a 400-metre walkway. The project, which takes into account the surrounding environment, aims to share with the public historical information and memories about the site.

To enrich the site’s appeal in terms of a cultural tourism and leisure experience, “The Echo of Firecrackers – Exhibition of the History of Macao Firecracker Industry” is offered concurrently at the site. There is also a souvenir shop selling a variety of products with design themes related to the factory.

Through the exhibition’s collections of material and photographs, and its multimedia guided tours, visitors have the chance of an interactive experience, and a glimpse back at the history not only of the Iec Long Firecracker Factory, but also Macao’s firecracker industry as a whole.
