The “2018 Seven-a-side Championship”, organised by the Macau Football Association, has been decided. A member of the winning team from the Group A final – the highest-ranking section of the tournament – holds up the trophy, celebrating his side’s victory.

The Championship matches are usually held at the Dom Bosco College Sports Centre. Last year was an exception, due to the field suffering severe damage during Typhoon Hato in August 2017. After a clean-up and pitch resurfacing, the football field at Dom Bosco was only put back into operation in March 2018.

The football field and supporting facilities at the Dom Bosco College Sports Centre remain of high quality even after needing repair work. Users find the site to be just as good as before the storm hit.

The pitch is resurfaced using third-generation artificial turf, the highest specification recognised by football’s global governing body, the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA). The turf is expected to have a service life of between eight and 10 years.
