The Macao Post and Telecommunications Bureau (CTT) has recently identified fraudulent SMS messages being circulated in its name. Under the pretext of delivering EMS parcels, these messages attempt to induce citizens to click on embedded contact numbers to obtain personal data.

CTT urges the public to remain vigilant and refrain from dialing any phone numbers contained in messages of unknown origin. If citizens have any enquiries regarding mail delivery, they should verify the contact information via CTT's official website before making any calls, so as to protect their personal data.

If citizens suspect that they have encountered a scam, they can contact the Macao Judiciary Police Anti-Fraud Inquiry Hotline at 8800 7777 or the crime report hotline at 993 for assistance.
