As of 12:00 noon today (August 24th), in the aftermath of typhoon "Hato", the Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) received two requests for assistance from Macao residents in Bangkok due to the cancellation of their return flights, involving more than 40 Macao residents. GGCT is in close contact with Air Macau and has urged the carrier to arrange flights to bring back the stranded passengers as soon as possible.

GGCT also received a request for assistance from tourists in Macao who were stranded in an accommodation facility near the Hac Sa beach area due to the suspension of public transportation. The caller was in safe conditions and the GGCT assisted by putting them in contact with a taxi company.

In addition, GGCT also received two other inquiries, one regarding flights to Macao and the other concerning tourists in Macao who were stranded in a shop due to flooding.
