President Mr Hu Jintao today met Macao Chief Executive Mr Edmund Ho Hau Wah and members of the Macao and Hong Kong delegations who were in Hainan to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2008, which opened today.

Speaking to members of the delegations, President Hu expressed his appreciation to their contribution to the prosperity and stability in the two Special Administrative Regions, and in the opening-up and modernisation of the Mainland.

Prior to the meeting with President Hu, Mr Ho attended the opening ceremony of the annual conference. In the evening, he attended a welcoming reception hosted by the Hainan Provincial Government.
