Vice-President Zeng Qinghong this afternoon visited two educational institutes in the SAR and encouraged the students to contribute to the country and Macao.
Accompany by the Chief Executive, Edmund Ho, the Vice-President visited the Macao University and was greeted by the Rector of the University, Io Vai Pan, teaching staff and students.
During his visit at the University, He talks to mainland students studying there and urged them to cherish the opportunity to study in Macao.
Afterward, Zeng Qinghong visited the Hou Kong Secondary School where the honorary headmaster, Tou Nam and the Vice-headmaster, Wong Fong Wa greeted and accompanied him.
He sang along with the students who were having a singing session in the music room and waved greeting to about a thousand awaiting students.
He said that training of teachers was very important, adding that the Minister of Education will hold training course for the teachers of Macao.
He also encouraged the students to endeavour for overall development and to prepare themselves for the development of the Country and the SAR.
