Chief Executive would promulgate the members of Healthcare Reform Committee soon to commence the reform on Macao's healthcare system immediately, said the Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture Saturday.
Chui Sai On, the Secretary, said that Macao's healthcare system would be reformed gradually. He added that over the past one month, Health Bureau had basically completed the internal tasks in accordance with the 215 suggestions highlighted in the study of Macao's Healthcare System.
Mr. Chui emphasized that the Government has confidence and ability to reform the healthcare system of Macao, adding that reform would facilitate the development of the territory's healthcare system and upgrade the service level.
The study of Macao's Healthcare System was prepared by RML & Associates, an international consulting firm. The study hightlighted 215 suggestions to improve and reform the territory's healthcare system. It also presented a series of reviews and projections on the development of Macao's healthcare system, as well as recommendations for reform and a summary of public opinions.
