The "Vibrant Community – 2026 All-Macao Elderly Sports Day", held on Sunday, was a healthy and joyful occasion for senior citizens.

The Macao Special Administrative Region (MSAR) Government will continue to collaborate with community organisations to host more fitness and recreational activities tailored to the needs of the elderly, promoting lifelong physical activity and a healthy lifestyle.

The event drew a large number of senior citizens, creating a lively atmosphere and great enthusiasm among participants at the venue.

Through light-hearted and interactive games, participants learned simple yet effective fitness techniques.

Activities such as guiding ping-pong balls by blowing on them help exercise senior citizens’ eyesight and may enhance lung capacity.

The activities – simultaneously fun and good for health – also strengthen harmonious relationships among family, friends and neighbours.

Photo-taking with specially-designed props boosts motivation and encourages seniors to maintain an active lifestyle.
