The peak of this year’s Perseid meteor shower season was on Wednesday and Thursday (12 and 13 August). To mark it, Macao Science Center hosted a stargazing event at the Hac Sá Long Chao Kok Coastal Trail in Coloane.

A large crowd of astronomy enthusiasts, some with cameras, gathered at the Coloane site, eager to see the Perseid meteor shower streaking across Macao’s night sky.

Macao Science Center regularly invites local astronomy experts to share insights into stars and space, and promote knowledge regarding meteor showers and astronomical observation.
