“Star on Coast” is a landmark new zone near the Leisure Area of Kun Iam Statue Waterfront and the Macao Science Center.
The multifunction zone is designed to provide a pleasant leisure activity space for members of the public, and to improve their quality of life.
“Star on Coast” includes children’s play areas, and facilities for enjoyment of general leisure, sport, arts, and culture. The zone is also used to popularise scientific themes, and has food and drink outlets on site.
Specially-designed kiosks offer food and drink, and there is also an outdoor café. Additionally, large-scale installations at “Star on Coast” offer many opportunities for photograph-taking.

The “Star on Coast” zone’s facilities enable the public, including parents and children, to enjoy quality time outdoors.

The Cultural Affairs Bureau has organised an area for buskers within the zone. The aim is to expand the opportunities for arts- and culture-related performers to showcase their work, and enhance the role of arts and culture in the community.
The zone offers the public opportunities to stroll along the waterfront, including either at sunset or after nightfall, to appreciate the urban skyline to the south across the water. Such moments of leisurely togetherness can help enhance the sense of well-being.
