The Macao East Asian Games Dome, the Athletes Training and Development Centre are planned to be converted into facilities for the community treatment centre for COVID-19 (mobile modular hospital), in the event of a large-scale COVID-19 outbreak occurred in Macao.

Planning for the community treatment centre for COVID-19 is to provide one-stop services, including triage, nucleic acid testing, and admission for treatment.

An aggregate of 50 beds, treatment rooms, emergency rooms and other medical facilities is set up at the Macao East Asian Games Dome and is part of a drill to familiarise the set-up of the community treatment centre for COVID-19.
