  • A series of colossal white decorative reliefs in a zigzag pattern stands proudly on the hillside at Taipa Pequena Hill.

  • The series of reliefs, conceived by renowned Portuguese sculptor Dorita Castel Branco, was completed in 1985. It spans 300 metres from top to bottom as it descends the hill, and features six towering walls and 12 composite slabs.

  • The themes of the reliefs represent various aspects of the livelihoods of Macao people, and local customs.

  • A-Ma Cultural Village is located on the hilltop at Coloane Peak. The complex covers 7,000 square metres of space, and celebrates the legend of the Goddess of Seafarers. The major pavilion within the complex is the Tin Hau Palace. The approach to Tin Hau Palace consists of six sets of steps decorated with reliefs depicting auspicious scenes.

  • At Kiang Wu Hospital, a colossal relief in white, depicts a youthful Dr Sun Yat-sen in his role of pioneering Western medical services in Macao. In the background of the relief are images showing the development of Kiang Wu Hospital over the years.

  • The Lin Zexu Memorial Museum is located within Lin Fung Temple in Macao peninsula. At the museum entrance, are reliefs depicting respectively an imperial commissioner receiving foreign officials, and a storyline about prohibition of the opium trade in Macao, and the burning of opium at Humen.
