Yellow hot weather alert:It is expected to be very hot in Macao between 22/9 and 23/9. The maximum temperature will be 33°C or above. The public is advised to beware of heatstroke, and drink water timely. ( Update Time: 2025-09-21 17H10 )SMG-Special Info:Super Typhoon Ragasa, located in the northwest Pacific Ocean, is forecast to continue moving in a west-northwesterly direction over the coming days.
Based on the current forecast track, Ragasa is expected to enter the northern South China Sea in the afternoon tomorrow (22nd), the bureau will issue tropical cyclone signal No.1 accordingly. As Ragasa is moving relatively fast, coupled with its broad circulation and the combined influence of the northeast monsoon, winds in Macao are expected to strengthen significantly from late Tuesday (23rd).
Ragasa is expected to approach the Pearl River Estuary closely between early times and morning on Wednesday (24th), potentially passing within 100 kilometers of Macao. Winds may reach force 12 or above for an extended period of time, accompanied by persistent heavy rain, thunderstorms and gusty wind. Residents reside in high floors should be prepared for severe impacts from hurricane force winds or above. Significant storm surge will also occur. Should this coincide with the astronomical high tide, storm surge flooding comparable to that experienced during Hato and Mangkhut may occur on Wednesday daytime.
As uncertainty remains regarding Ragasa's trajectory and moving speed, members of the public are advised to closely monitor the latest weather information issued by the Bureau. Please take early precautions against wind damage and flooding, and prepare essential emergency supplies.
