  • Macao’s first inclined elevator system is built on the Big Taipa Hill and launched on 1 October 2017.

  • The inclined elevator system is part of the walking trail connecting the Big Taipa Hill to the Taipa Houses and Taipa Village.

  • The elevator system runs daily from 7am to 8pm.

  • The inclined elevator system connects to a pedestrian bridge over the Governador Nobre de Carvalho Road. The system provides easy access to a hiking trail and an observation deck on the Big Taipa Hill.

  • The elevator cars feature glass walls that allow for stunning views of the Cotai Strip and of the mangroves around the Taipa Houses.

  • The journey to the summit takes two minutes.

  • The elevator system is well integrated with its surroundings, being of appropriate scale and design so as not to harm the Big Taipa Hill landscape.

  • The design of the inclined elevator station on the top of the Big Taipa Hill resembles a bird spreading its wings.

  • Visitor can take the elevator ride to the top of the Big Taipa Hill to access the hill’s observation deck, and enjoy exceptional views over the Taipa Houses and the Cotai Strip.
