The Chief Executive, Edmund Ho praised the media for their dedication and contributions to the development of Macao, and urged the media to continue monitor the government.

Mr. Ho hosted a luncheon at the Government House today (11 Feb) for the local media representatives and the representatives of Mainland and Hong Kong media posted in the territory.

He said that the Government would continue to cooperate with the media in establishing proper values in the society, adding that the good relationship between the media and the Government was one of the many strengths and advantages of Macao.

Mr. Ho also emphasized on the importance of objectivity of the media.

He said that the authority has plan to organize tours for media representatives to visit countries experienced in convention and tourism, with the aim to broaden the residents’ perspective in that sector of the economy.
