The Republic of Korea Grants Macao SAR Passport Holders Extension of Visa-free Stay (Identification Department Press Release)

The Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) was informed by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong and Macao SAR that, the visa exemption period granted to the holders of the Macao SAR Passport for visiting Korea will be extended from 30 days up to 90 days for tourism, business and transit purposes.

On the basis of reciprocity, holders of the Republic of Korea Passport will also be able to enter Macao SAR without a visa for stays of up to 90 days.

The above-mentioned arrangement will be effective from 1 January 2003.
