The Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) was informed by the Government of the Arab Republic of Egypt that, the visa exemption period granted to the holders of the Macao SAR Passport for visiting Egypt will be extended from 30 days up to 90 days for tourism, business and transit purposes.

On the basis of reciprocity, holders of the Arab Republic of Egypt Passport will also be able to enter Macao SAR without a visa for a stay of up to 90 days.

The above-mentioned arrangement will be effective from 14 August 2002.
