Secretary for Transport and Public Works Ao Man Long Friday completed his 5-day official visit to Japan, which aimed at reinforcing the bilateral cooperation in the areas of aviation, environmental protection and infrastructure transportation.

During the visit, Mr. Ao and the members of the delegation met with Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs Ministry of Japan, Kenichi Mizuno and other officials, discussed the feasibility of developing charter flight between the two sides and strengthening cooperation in ISO14000 training course.

Mr. Ao said that the chief aim of the visit was to introduce to the Japan officials and entrepreneurs that Macao would serve as a platform to enter the Mainland and Pearl River Delta markets due to its unique geological conditions. He also believed that the scope of cooperation between Macao and Japan was broad.

The Secretary and the members of the delegation visited several Japanese enterprises, sharing experiences and exchanging opinions in environmental techniques.
