The Tender Committee for the Casino-operator Concession is to propose to the Chief Executive an extension of three months to the existing gaming concession, said committee chairman, Francis Tam today (14 Dec.).
The committee had completed the preliminary examination on the documents included in the 21 tenders, and was to start looking into the actual proposals next Tuesday, said Mr. Tam.
Mr. Tam said that a one-week consultative process would begin on 2 January, during which representatives of the bidders would be invited to do a presentation on their plans to the committee.
He also confirmed that no tenders have been disqualified so far, as necessary documents were presented in all tenders, said Mr. Tam, adding that all additional legal documents should be submitted by 21 December. Mr. Tam said that it is appropriates to propose for a three-month extension on the existing gaming concession, considering the workload of the committee.
