Chief Executive appointed seven deputies to the Legislative Assembly

Chief Executive Edmund Ho appointed today seven appointed deputies to the Legislative Assembly by administrative order.

The seven appointed members are as follows:

Tina Ho Teng Iat, Stanley Au Chong Kit, Philip Xavier, Vong Hin Fai, Cheong Wai Kei, José/; Manuel de Oliveira Rodreigues, Chui Wai Kuan.

The Annex II of the Basic Law-"Method for the Formation of the Legislative Council of the Macao Special Administrative Region" governs that the Legislative Assembly in the second term shall be composed of 27, of which 10 members will be directly elected, 10 members will be indirectly elected and 7 will be appointed by the Chief Executive.

According to Article Two of the "Legislative Election Regime of Macau Special Administrative Region", the Chief Executive shall appoint the seven deputies stipulated in the Annex II of the Basic Law of Macau SAR within 15 days, after being informed of the verified result of the Legislative Election.
