Fifty-four traveling agencies in Macau were authorized to proceed visa application for foreign tourists to visit the cities of Pearl River Delta.

Secretary for Social Affairs and Culture, Mr. Chui Sai On disclosed that the Macau SAR Government had received the official notification from the National Tourism Administration concerning the new arrangement, adding that the new measure would come into effect shortly, when details in the procedures were confirmed.

Mr. Chui stated that the new measure would facilitate the development of regional tourism, as well as encouraging tourists to stay longer in Macau.

According to the official notification from the National Tourism Administration, foreign tourists may apply for a 144-hours visa through 54 traveling agencies in Macau, with which they may visit the cities of Pearl River Delta, including Guangdong, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Fushan, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhaoqing and Huizhou.
