Jointly organised by the Sports Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, World Table Tennis (WTT), and Galaxy Entertainment Group (GEG), and co-organised by the Macau Table Tennis General Association, the six-day ‘WTT Champions Macao 2025 Presented by Galaxy Entertainment Group’ will take place from 9 September 2025 at the Macao East Asian Games Dome. The organisers held the draw ceremony on 7 September, which was attended by players including Lin Shidong (China), Lin Yun-Ju (Chinese Taipei), Zhu Yuling (Macao, China), and Adriana Diaz (Puerto Rico).
Big Battles Await
This year’s WTT Champions Macao will feature 32 places in both the men’s and women’s singles, bringing together the world’s top table tennis players to compete for the coveted titles. The men’s field is led by top seed and current world No. 1 Lin Shidong (China), world No. 2 Wang Chuqin (China), reigning ‘ITTF Men’s World Cup Macao 2025’ champion Hugo Calderano (Brazil), Tomokazu Harimoto (Japan), Lin Yun-Ju (Chinese Taipei), and Darko Jorgi (Slovenia).
The women’s singles promises equally fierce competition, with top seed and current world No. 1 Sun Yingsha (China), who also won the ‘ITTF Women’s World Cup Macao 2025’, joined by world No. 2 Wang Manyu (China), ‘2025 WTT U.S. Grand Slam’ champion Zhu Yuling (Macao, China), and Japanese stars Miwa Harimoto, Mima Ito, and Satsuki Odo. Adding to the excitement, Macao’s own He Chon Fai and Kuan Cheok Lam will make their debut appearance in the WTT Champions series.
On the first day of competition (9 September), China’s Lin Shidong will take on Kao Cheng-Jui of Chinese Taipei, while Wang Chuqin will face Japan’s Sora Matsushima. In other men’s singles matches, Brazil’s Hugo Calderano is set to compete against An Jaehyun of South Korea, and Macao’s He Chon Fai will meet Simon Gauzy of France. In the women’s singles, Macao’s Zhu Yuling will play against India’s Sreeja Akula, and Kuan Cheok Lam will challenge Wang Yidi of China. The players will peform their best to seek advancement.
Tickets on Sale
Members of the public and visitors who wish to attend may continue to purchase tickets through the Maoyan mobile app and mini program. Each person may purchase a maximum of four tickets per transaction. Admission is required for all spectators aged three and above, while children under the age of three who do not occupy a seat may enter free of charge when accompanied by a paying adult. Each adult may bring only one child with free admission, and the child must be accompanied at all times. The organizers remind the public to purchase tickets only through authorized channels and strongly advise against reselling tickets at inflated prices.
Tickets for 9 September allow entry starting 60 minutes before the competition begins. For those who have purchased tickets in advance via the MacauTicket.com website or mobile application, tickets can be collected at the on-site ticket office from two hours before the first match of the day. To collect tickets, purchasers must present their booking confirmation, the registered phone number, and valid identification. If a representative collects tickets on behalf of the purchaser, they must present the booking confirmation, the registered phone number, a copy of the ticket holder’s identification document, an authorization letter, and their own valid identification.
