Situation update regarding typhoon “Jebi” in Japan

The Tourism Crisis Management Office (GGCT) is paying close attention to the situation caused by typhoon “Jebi” in Japan and will keep close contact with the Macao travel industry and Air Macau for any developments.
Until 15:00 on September 6th, GGCT received 72 requests for information, mainly related to the status of flights between Macao and Japan. During the same time, GGCT has not received any request for assistance.
According to the information released by the General Consulate of China in Osaka, until the morning of September 6th (local time), the Consulate General assisted in the safe evacuation of 1044 Chinese tourists stranded at Kansai airport due to the typhoon out of which 5 were Macao residents.
Air Macau is assisting passengers affected by the flight cancellations in Osaka by rescheduling their return tickets to Macao via the Narita or Fukuoka Airports. Affected passengers can contact the Air Macau reservation hotline at 853-83965555 (Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 20:00; Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays from 9:00 to 18:00).
