Aiming to promote Macao’s role as a business service platform, to stimulate co-operation and exchanges between the EU, Mainland China and Macao in the areas of trade, investment and among SMEs (Small and Medium Sized enterprises), as well as promoting the newly launched Enterprise Europe Network – Contact Point in Macao (EEN) (previously the Euro-Info Centre, Macau), the “Seminar on EU Market Business Opportunities and Enterprise Co-operation” is to be held during the 13th MIF.
The “Seminar on EU Market Business Opportunities and Enterprise Co-operation” is organised by Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) , the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China (EUCCC), The European Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong (ECCHK), Enterprise Europe Network-Contact Point in Macao (EEN); co-organised by the Institute of European Studies of Macau (IEEM), with the support of the French Trade Commission in Hong Kong and Chongqing Foreign Trade and Economics Relations Commission. The Seminar is to be held at 14:30-15:45, on 25 October 2008, in the Sicily Room, Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel.
With the theme “To promote co-operation between China and the EU and explore business opportunities in EU markets”, major contents of the Seminar include: introduction of the Enterprise Europe Network – Contact Point in Macau, especially its services to Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) such as providing EU business and market information and finding business partners; presentation of current EU market business opportunities; discussion on strengthening co-operation between the EU, Mainland China and Macao in the areas of investment, trade and the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Interested individuals and enterprises are welcome to attend the “Seminar on EU Market Business Opportunities and Enterprise Co-operation”. A simultaneous interpretation service will be provided in Cantonese, Putonghua, and English.
