To celebrate the International Museum Day 2008, all the museums of Macao will join the museums of Hong Kong, Gungdong Province and Guangzhou to hold “The Museum Fair of Macao, Hong Kong and Guangdong Province 2008” at The Taipa Houses-Museum zone from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on 4 May.

The organizers invited museums from Guangdong Province, Guangzhou and Hong Kong to attend and the ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 15:00 p.m. In addition to set up exhibitions and booth games, there are various types of comprehensive performances arranged for the visitors to experience the characteristics of the museums from Guangdong Province, Guangzhou, Hong Kong and Macao simultaneously. There are many dynamic variety shows, including science show performed by expert from America, scout marching, music, dancing, Cantonese opera, mime performance and pop singers, etc. There are also lucky draws with rich prizes over MOP 50.000,00, including cultural tours, electronic frames, Oscar Farm, Eee PC and other attractive gifts. The Macao Post Office will issue a commemorative envelope on 4 May and provide commemorative cancellation service for stamp collectors at the temporary postal counter from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
