Under the framework of Guangdong-Macao co-operation system, the two governments would study the feasibility of having more new areas for co-operation, the Secretary for Transport and Public Work, Mr Lao Si Io, said today.

Mr Lao was speaking to reporters as he led an official delegation comprising officials from public works, marine, infrastructure, energy and environment, to meet their counterparts in Zhuhai.

He said Macao and Zhuhai have a close relationship that complemented each other, and meeting on a regular base would definitely enhance the understanding of each others’ development.

The delegation will visit the expanding Gongbei checkpoint, sites of Zhuhai station of the Guangzhou-Zhuhai railway and the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge respectively.
