The Macao SAR Government Friday renewed the marine transportation contract between Macao and Hong Kong with STDM (Sociedade de Turismo e Diversõ/;es de Macau). This contract will be valid for 25 years and will be in effect starting 1st April.

Ao Man Long, the Secretary for Transportation and Public Works, and Stanley Ho signed the contract on behalf of the Macao SAR Government and STDM. The signing ceremony was held at the office of the Secretary for Transportation and Public Works.

Mr. Ao said that the original contract would expire at the end of March. He added that the new contract basically remained unchanged since STDM agreed to fulfill the obligations that had been stipulated in the Gaming Regime.
