The Macau Gaming Committee has received a total of 22 Expressions of Interests on Casino Gaming concession up to 17:20 today (19), said Secretary for Economy and Finance, Francis Tam Pak Yuen.

The Request for Expression of Interests was scheduled to close at 17:30 today.

The taskforce for the liberalization of Gaming industry is going to study the expressions of Interests received.

The SAR Government advertised in the local and international media and on the Internet early this month, inviting parties interested in bidding for gaming concessions to submit Expressions of Interest.

The collection of EOIs was merely a preparation for the tender and was not a process of the tender. It was expected that the EOIs would enable the Government to gain a better understanding of the interested parties.
