Chief Executive, Edmund Ho arrived at midday today (18) at Brussels and will start to start the first leg of his four days visit to the European Union and Belgium.

Mr. Ho and the delegation will attend the dinner host by Mr. David Ting, Head of Office of the European Commission in Hong Kong after visited the Tractebel Group in the afternoon. Tractebel Group is the leading engineering company in Belgium, which provided services for CSR, the franchise company for residue treatment in Macau, and CEM, the Macau Electricity Company.

In his visit tomorrow, the Chief Executive will meet with Romano Prodi, President of European Commission at noon and will later attend the welcome dinner hosted by Song Mingjiang, the PRC Ambassador in Belgium.

Mr. Ho and the delegation will also visit the Institute of European Studies, Seghers Technology Group and the Sewage Treatment Plant managed by the group tomorrow.

This is the Chief Executive's first official visit to the EU after resuming his post.
