  • Basketball action from the FIBA 3X3 Macao Masters Greater Bay Area Qualifying Tournament that concluded successfully earlier in the month.

  • The tournament starts in June in various cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, with preliminary-round competitions. After intense matches in each city, the top eight teams meet in Macao for the finals.

  • Open-entry groups in the men’s and women’s competition sections have been part of this year’s tournament. In all, it has featured 72 men’s teams, and 33 women’s teams.

  • The Macao finals are held for seven consecutive days at, respectively, Largo do Pagode da Barra, Ruins’ of St. Paul’s, Praça do Tap Seac, and other locations.

  • The basketball matches are held at various World Heritage Sites in Macao, providing the players with a unique setting, and offering local spectators and tourists a special atmosphere.

  • Players display their superb skills on court as they compete for the ball.

  • In addition to match competition, the tournament promotes sports-related exchanges between people from different places.

  • Each game attracts a large number of local spectators and tourists, creating a lively atmosphere.

  • This year's event aims to promote and encourage sport interaction between cities and regions in the Greater Bay Area, as well as to revitalise the Macao sports and tourism sectors.

  • The tournament also helps create a unique, branded, sports event for Macao, enriches the city’s sports tourism market, and enhances the sports-related image of Macao.
