The Government enforces stringent disinfection guideline on goods and cold-chain products imported to Macao from high risk areas for COVID-19, in a bid to minimise the risk of transmission of the virus through goods and fortify a defence line against the pandemic in the field of goods import.

  • To step up anti-epidemic effort, the Government enforces stringent disinfection guideline on imported goods and cold-chain products on arrival in Macao.

  • All imported goods are thoroughly disinfected on arrival in Macao. Disinfected goods are marked with a special sticker and recorded in the manifest.

  • After disinfection of outer packaging, a certain portion of goods, depending on level of risk, will be screened for COVID-19 testing. The entire batch of goods will only be put up for sale when no abnormality found in the test.

  • Local suppliers are required to disinfect again outer packaging of imported goods before putting up for sale, in a bid to minimise the risk of transmission of COVID-19 through goods and fortify a defence line against the pandemic in the field of goods import.
