The International Youth Dance Festival 2018 takes as its theme “The Belt and Road, the Dancing City”, bringing together in Macao talented dancers from the city and overseas during its six days of events.

The 2018 edition has invited more than 550 young dancers from 17 groups worldwide to Macao, in a bid to boost friendship and exchanges with participating local groups via the biennial gala.

This year’s edition includes dance groups from places covered by the Silk Road Economic Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road, collectively known as the “Belt and Road” initiative. By inviting young artists from Belt and Road locations to the Macao event, the city creates a platform for them to share their respective culture.
