  • Macao’s first Government-supported parent-child centre – a partnership with the Catholic Diocese of Macao – is located on Rua do Parque. Its services are free of charge for users.

  • The parent-child centre welcomes infants and toddlers up to three years old. It encourages participation from parents, so as to build positive and closer ties between parents and their children.

  • Applications to join playgroup sessions can be submitted online. Two family members may accompany the child at each session. The parent-child centre has a capacity for 25 family groups per playgroup session.

  • The parent-child centre has four sections, each with a different theme. In this picture, participants gather at the “Macao nostalgia section”, to learn – via meticulously-designed games – more about Macao’s culture and traditions.

  • In the “creative art section”, budding young artists can learn in an innovative way and have fun with other children while creating unique art.

  • In the “reading section”, a great number of picture books, cloth books and game books is available for readers. After reading a story, participants can then engage in a performance telling the story in a creative way.

  • The “exploration section” allows infants and toddlers to have a variety of sensory experiences by using facilities and musical instruments for children available at the centre, while training their strength, physical coordination, and body rhythm.

  • The facilities and playgroups available at the centre are designed to enhance parent-child bonds and relationships.
