  • The Macao Grand Prix Museum has put on display eight waxwork figures of motor-racing legends, to enhance the museum’s appeal to the public, and enrich the visitor experience. The Grand Prix event’s legends featured are: John MacDonald, Ron Haslam, Ayrton Senna, Sebastian Vettel, Michael Rutter, Lewis Hamilton, Robert Huff, and Edoardo Mortara.

  • The eight lifelike wax figures are each dressed in a racing suit. Each figure is posed with a racing vehicle actually used in Macao competition by the person represented. Every tableau vividly captures the demeanour of a motor racing legend.

  • John MacDonald (waxwork pictured) is the only competitor to have won all three headline races on the Guia Circuit, with the wins spread across a number of annual meetings.

  • Ron Haslam (waxwork pictured), nicknamed “Rocket Ron Haslam”, participated in the Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix, managing the outstanding achievement of six wins in six starts.

  • Ayrton Senna (waxwork pictured) won the inaugural Formula 3 format of the Macau Grand Prix, in 1983. His lap record for the Formula 3 race in Macao was unmatched for seven years.

  • Michael Rutter (waxwork pictured), also known as the “King of Macao” on two wheels, made his Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix debut in 1994. He has not only equalled Ron Haslam’s six Macao victories, but has passed that tally, having a historic ninth victory in 2019.

  • Lewis Hamilton (waxwork pictured) has won seven FIA Formula One World Championships. He participated in the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix races of 2003 and 2004.

  • Sebastian Vettel (waxwork pictured) holds the record as the youngest FIA Formula One World Championship winner. He made his Macao debut at the 52nd Macau Grand Prix meeting in 2005, racing with the ASM Formule 3 team, in what was the 23rd edition of the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix.

  • Robert Huff (waxwork pictured) made his Guia Circuit debut in 2005. He is known for the greatest number of touring-car victories on the Guia Circuit by a single driver. In 2017, he earned his history-making ninth victory in that year’s Macau Guia Race.

  • Edoardo Mortara (waxwork pictured), known as “Mr Macao”, was the first driver to register two wins in the Formula 3 Macau Grand Prix. He has also won the Macau GT Cup four times.
