  • To help recreate the festive atmosphere of the Spring Festival in the Forbidden City, traditional wooden pavilions and corridors were built in the museum’s exhibition hall, decorated with palace lanterns.

  • The exhibition features valuable Spring Festival decorations, such as an imperial Doufang calligraphic work with the character ‘blessing’ (fu) by Emperor Qianlong, single-line scrolls (chuntiao) and door gods, presenting visitors in Macao with a taste of how the Spring Festival was celebrated in the imperial palace.
