Periodical status

According to Article 15 of the Press Law, the Government Information Bureau (GCS) is responsible for registering newspapers, publishers and periodicals. Registration of periodicals is free of charge.

In 2025, there were 109 periodicals with valid registration at the GCS. Of the total, 6 periodicals (published weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually) were newly registered in 2025. Meanwhile, registration of 6 periodicals had been cancelled in the same year.
